Photography By Traci

My name is Traci, I’m 25 years old and photography is my way of life. I have a degree in Journalism with a minor in Photography from Sacramento State University.
Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to be in the creative realm of sorts. As a young child, I consistently carried three essentials on my being at all times: paper, pencil and a camera. Ever since, I could never imagine myself at a “desk job”.
Photography is my art, my state-of-mind, my life and simply it’s what makes me tick. There is not one thing I look at in life that I can’t imagine poster-size over my fire place. My feelings, words and expressions can be found in every frame I shoot.
Similarly, I’ve been told I capture the true essence of those I’m photographing and that it shows in each frame. I have found nothing as rewarding as being both in front and behind the camera.
More so than ever, the current state of the economy reminds me of my many photographic heroes, specifically Dorothea Lange. If at some point in my career I can come within the realm of influence her photos had on the world, I will know, myself and my work have achieved their true potential. I strive to make my photos influential, special, breath-taking and emotion-evoking.
